I'll be leading another FREE negotiator training for hostage negotiators from all around this area.  Last year teams from Amarillo PD, Potter County SO, DPS, and Plainview PD joined the Lubbock Police Department's negotiating team and the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office team for a 1-Day training.  We had 75 people, including counseling and psychology students from Lubbock Christian University, attend.  As of June 24th I have about 40 negotiators from around the area attending, and 25 counseling types.  I expect to hear from others, so we could have over 75 people this year.

This year we've reached out to teams to our south and in Oklahoma as well, including TDCJ, Midland, Odessa, San Angelo, Abilene and Big Spring, and it looks like some will be able to join us.

Max Howard (FBI, retired) and Brandon Pierpoint (Past president of TAHN) will be helping me out and speaking this year.  Max Howard will speak about the Rigsby Daycare Callout.  It'll be a great, practical training involving LCU counseling students again, and it was really good to gather so many teams from around this area just so we can all meet.

Training will be held in the new Nursing Building on the Lubbock Christian University campus (5601 19th St.).  The Nursing Building is on the west side of campus and can be accessed from Frankford Ave. just south of 19th St, or behind the Arby's on 19th St.
